Canon image verification system hacked

The Russian hacker Dmitry Sklyarov has managed to break Canons camera security system which is used to authenticate image originality. He claims “The vulnerability discovered by ElcomSoft questions the authenticity of all Canon signed photographic evidence and published photos”. To prove his work he signed a picture showing a Russian on the moon. He contacted Canon in September but so far Canon hasn’t reacted. Read more details here (including some funny pictures).
