Nikon D5 specs

Nikon finally has announced the specs of the new Nikon flagship D5:

  • 20.8 MP full frame
  • 12 fps with AF, 14 FPS without AF
  • Complete new Autofocus module featuring 153 AF points (99 cross type)
  • Better RGB-sensor (doubled in resolution)
  • 4k video
  • Native ISO ranging from 100 to 102,400
  • Boosted ISO ranging from 50 to 3,280,000
  • Touchscreen

The upgraded auto-focus should bring drastic improvements for all sports photographers and will bring even better low light focus ability.

Nikon D750

Nikon announced the Nikon D750 with

  • 24 MP fulll frame sensor
  • an improved version of the 51-point autofocus from the D810, rated -3EV
  • 6.5 fps frame rate
  • ISO 100-12,800 (expandable to 51,200)
  • 1080/60p video, zebra stripes, simultaneous HDMI/memory card recording, automatic ISO control in movie live view mode
  • Tilting Vari-angle LCD display (a first in a professional camera from Nikon)
  • Dual SD card slots

for $2,299.95. They also announced the new flash SB-500 and a new AF-S Nikkor 20mm f/1.8G ED.

Nikon D810 revealed

A few hours before the offical start here are the specs for the new Nikon D810, the successor to the much loved D800:

  • 36 Megapixel
  • No optical low pass filter (like in the D800E) so very sharp pictures
  • Still no 4k video, but added 50/60p
  • Improved auto focus including the Group Area AF from the pro model D4s
  • Improved ISO 64-12800 (and 32-51200 in extended mode)
  • Fast Expeed 4 image processing engine
  • Improved shutter with reduced shutter lag and quieter operation
  • Metering mode button moved to the main control dial, BKT moves to the front
  • Screen with upgraded resolution including a new split screen mode for architecture
  • Initial pricing at £ 2,700
