Nikon D7000

Nikon announces the new Nikon D7000 DSLR camera, the perfect upgrade for all D5000 and D90 users and even attractive to a lot of others:

  • 16.2 MP CMOS sensor
  • 3″  921k dot LCD
  • 1080p full HD video with full time autofocus
  • 39-point AF with a new 2,016 pixel RGB 3D Matrix Metering System
  • ISO 100-6400 with up to 25600 HI-2 previously available only in Nikon FX cameras
  • 6 fps for up to 100 images
  • Quiet single frame advance mode
  • 14-bit RAW mode
  • Two SD card slots
  • Camera body with a magnesium-alloy top and rear covers
  • Shutter built for at least 150,000 cycles

AF-S Nikkor 200mm f2G ED VR II

Nikon announces the AF-S Nikkor 200mm f2G ED VR II, a successor to the legendary 200/2 lens adding the second generation VR and a new mode for the AF switch.

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.4G lens

Nikon announces the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.4G prime lens:

  • 35mm f1.4 wide angle prime lens
  • 10 elements in 7 groups with 1 asperical element
  • Nano crystal coating to reduce lens flare
  • weather-sealed magnesium alloy body
  • Silvent Wave Motor

Nikon announces the Speedlight SB-700 flash, a replacement for the SB-600 featuring a guide number of 38:

  • diffuser

Samsung NX100

Samsung announces NX100 mirrorless interchangeable lens compact camera with a 14.6 MP sensor and an 3″ OLED screen. Samsung also launches two new lenses, the 20-50mm f3.5-5.6 ED kit zoom and 20mm f2.8 pancake lens.
