“out of production, discontinued or no longer available in your country”

According to this German forum post a shop employee has confirmed that a new Nikon AF-S 50/1.4 G is already listed in the purchasing list and will be officially announced in September.
Watch out for www.nikkor.com, a new site from Nikon about their lenses…
Klaus Schroiff has posted a review of the new Nikon AF-S 14-24/2.8 lens on his respected Photozone site – and it looks good.
“The Nikkor AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED N is a phenomenal lens. It is the sharpest ultra-wide angle lens tested to date. The resolution figures are simply stunning and unprecedented specifically at 14mm and that’s straight from the maximum aperture setting.”
Michael Weber has posted his review of the new Nikkor AF-S 400/2.8 VR, the only flaw he could find was the tripod mount, but that’s nothing really new at Nikon :-)
