The German photo magazine “Foto Digital” in an article has confirmed the rumors about the new Nikon D3100:

  • 14 MP CMOS sensor
  • ISO range of 100-12800
  • full HD video (1920×1080)
  • 11 AF points
  • 3″ display
  • price of 650 EUR

Nikon D3000

Nikon presents it’s new compact DSLR, the Nikon D3000. It will replace the Nikon D60 and features a 10MP DX-format CCD sensor, a 3fps continuous shooting rate, a large 3.0 inch LCD, a 11-point AF system with 3D tracking (probably the same as in the D5000).

Nikon has sheduled three press conferences on July 30th and August 4th, one in Austria and two in Sweden. As always, it is not 100% clear what new cameras they will release but maybe some new Coolpixes and a revised model of the D300, the D300s.
